Chloe Morgan (クロエ・モルガン, Kuroe Morugan?) is a pivotal supporting character of The Kingdoms of Ruin series.

Personality

Chloe is a positive and caring woman who is cautious about their survival as he yells at Adonis for using a smartphone which results in them to be tracked down by others. She is very knowledgeable in the field of magic and is extremely protective toward Adonis, not letting him use magic against the humans who tried to capture them, deeming him that he is still too inexperienced in using magic. Adonis guessed that her true intention was to prevent him from attacking them since they are humans just like him.

She comforts him as he starts crying. Chloe is brave enough to sacrifice her own life as she begs Emperor Goethe to take her life instead of his and even sticked her head closer to the gun pointed at her in her final moments. Prior to the past during her time within the Witch Nation, she was depicted as the kind and smartest among witches. Chloe also prefered not to share her origins to others as noted by Adonis. In the past, Chloe loved to look for constellations at night and was impressed with Adonis' memorization skills. She believed that he was a prodigy as a result of being taught by her.

Appearance

Chloe is a beautiful woman with blue eyes, a sharp chin and jawline, and long, straight blonde hair in a high ponytail, nearly extending until her knees, with humorous bangs and two strands framing her face. Her high ponytail is tied using a blue ribbon atop her head.

She drapes a blue hooded cape over her shoulders, which extends past her hips. The cape is secured with a brown strap across her chest and fastened with golden clasps. It also has thick, white fur wrapping from the shoulders to the hood, with intricately designed golden embroidery, featuring ornamental patterns on the back.

Beneath her cape, she wears a white, form-fitting, sleeveless crop top made from ribbed, sweater-like fabric. It features a high-necked collar with distinct brown bands accenting the top’s armholes and hemline.

For leggings, she wears a pair of light blue, form-fitting pants, adorned with golden decorative accents around the hips, and secured with a single-button closure. She also wears brown, belt-like straps that attach to the waistband of her pants and curve from the front of her hip up to the side of her waist, and latch to the backside of her hip, with both ends adorned with gold fixtures and fastened onto her pants. For footwear, she wears silver block-heeled greaves, with gold accents, reaching up to her mid-thighs.

On her wrists, she wears matching silver bracers adorned with gold accents.

History

A couple of years earlier in the story, Chloe meets a young Adonis in the street and decides to raise him. However, this also caused her to be banished out of the witch nation upon after they learn that Chloe decided to teach magic to a human child. The nation begged her to abandon Adonis, but she refused.

In the present, Chloe is looking at a map as Adonis is complaining about their water supply due to being in the middle of an isolated place. He tells her that he found their location as he pulls his smartphone out. As a result, Chloe yells at him that she already mentioned earlier to not use smartphones, something she refers as weird machines to avoid them being tracked down by others. She hits Adonis in the head and he declares that Adonis explains the function of the device. Adonis questions why do they have to keep running with Chloe replying that she is a witch and that society plans her species.

She talks about Adonis going school before happily running around but Adonis alerts her that something is coming towards them. Adonis tries to protect Chloe with with his magic, but Chloe denies, stating that he is still too inexperienced at using magic and walks toward the incoming enemies, being soldiers in vehicles. Upon easily taking them out, Adonis gets mad at her for not ever letting him defending her. She hugs him as Adonis cries and guesses that her reason is that he is a human and does not want him to fight the other of his kind. Unbeknownst to them, the machine of the enemies frozen by her magic has been activated, unleashing a powerful mana that causes them to float out of a sudden. Chloe explains that not even witches are capable of achieving such physical transferring.

Adonis reassures her as they hold hands and get teleported to the Kingdom of Redia where the Emperor Goethe just finished his speech. They see in terror to their current location with the crowd screaming. Goethe welcomes them by as he speaks that they finally meet, a scheme that was planned by him.

Adonis and Chloe easily recognize him as the king of the Redia Kingdom. Adonis attempts to buy time for Chloe as he rushes toward the king by trying to use his magic but is restrained by being pinned down by Goethe's guards. Chloe declares to let go of her apprentice as she prepares for a powerful spell with her magic but to her shock it was cancelled thanks to the technology that the human society has developed.

He walks toward Chloe to tear her cloth apart before slapping her in the face, leaving her naked and humiliated by the audience who start taking photos of her. Annoyed by Adonis' behavior, Goethe orders his men to kill the him but Chloe begs him to be spared and take her life instead. Goethe does not hesitate to listen to her and pulls his gun out and points it at her head. As Chloe speaks her last words to Adonis, Goethe shoots her in the head before having her body constantly shot by more weapons fired by Goethe's men as Adonis begs them to stop. Another man wielding an axe walks to the corpse and beheads Chloe's head for Goethe to grab her by the hair for the audience to see.
